The Exploratory World Language classes learned about the German Christmas traditions and were able to make their own Lebkuchenherz to give to someone.
They chose from traditional phrases to decorate their hearts, such as “Ich liebe dich!” meaning “I love you” to “Frohe Weihnachten!” meaning “Merry Christmas!”

Nikolaustag bei St Croix Central Middle Schule! St Nick visited the German students at the middle school! 🍬
In Germany, children stick their shoes outside the evening of December 5th so that St Nick will fill their shoes with sweet treats and small toys. This is also a tradition that many Wisconsin families celebrate as well!
