Long tones are an important warm-up for band students because they help us practice playing in tune and develop our ensemble sound. Check out how the 8th grade band and new middle school band director, Mr. Helmrick, add some excitement to the warm-up process by playing along with this famous TV show theme song! Can you guess it before the end?

Super pumped to have the 7th Graders perform successful DNA extractions this past week! They were able to extract DNA from various fruits, compare the amounts of DNA in different fruits, and handle the DNA to make up close observations! Love these kids!

We ended our 8th grade career week with an awesome Escape room activity. Students had to solve a series of puzzles/challenges using only one clue, to obtain keys in order to escape the room and avoid Alien TAKEOVER! They did an awesome job and showed great teamwork! #sccspirit
