Education Support Professionals Day honors a long list of professionals who keep our schools running smoothly. Administrative assistants, paraprofessionals, food service, maintenance, custodians/housekeeping, bus drivers and all others who support our teachers. These professionals do their part in making our schools exceptional for every child so they can be safe, learn, grow and achieve. Thank you SCC support staff!
Reminder that today is your last chance to fill out the Parent Satisfaction Survey! If you would like to let us know how we are doing please complete the survey at https://forms.gle/SKTXKnvouKuNwBq96.
Family Day recognizes the role of parents/guardians in education. Involvement, including reading to children, checking homework, developing a relationship with a child's teacher or even simply asking children about their day, makes a difference in children's lives. Today, SCC would like to recognize the parents/guardians in our community for their contribution to our student's successes.
Friendly reminder that tomorrow, November 15th, is a late start at the high school.

Every season contributes to a continuum of growth. School psychologists can be champions in this process. Even seasons of rest are important for a balanced and healthy lifestyle and to create growth. For adults and students, this can include professional development, the need for self-care or self-reflection, and time devoted to recharging rather than doing.
Final reminder that if you would like your voice to be heard for the District's Strategic Planning the survey should be completed by tomorrow, November 10th.

Species can survive individually, but when planted together, each contributes to the growth of the others. This is true for people and school communities as well. Diversity in our schools is critical to how students see themselves and the world, learn respect for differing perspectives, and find commonalities in different experiences. School psychologists reinforce inclusive schools in which every student feels seen and valued.
An upcoming event happening at Color Crossing in Roberts. SCC students will be showing artwork Dec. 13, 4-6 with an opening reception and Dec. 16, 9-noon for viewing. Come see some amazing student talent.

Engagement and interaction with others–being part of a vibrant community–supports our growth. Students and staff can cultivate a nurturing school environment by highlighting how one's strengths can work with others to support the growth of those around them. This includes creating welcoming, inclusive schools; helping to build students' social-emotional skills; and ensuring that every student is connected to a trusted adult. School psychologists can help students and staff identify ways to strengthen these connections and see themselves as both being a benefit to and benefiting from the broader school community.
