Learn to Skate (LTS) is an opportunity for kids who are 8 and under to learn to skate. This is for NEW skaters. LTS is open to Baldwin-Woodville, St. Croix Central, Glenwood City, and Spring Valley residents. There are 8 sessions between August 11, 2024 and August 26, 2024. Equipment will be provided. We will have coaching staff to help.
You will get more information closer to the start date from the lead coach about equipment hand out dates and collecting USA Hockey Numbers.
SIGN UP NOW TO MAKE SURE YOU GET A SPOT!
Please note the Learn to Skate program has a minimum age of 4 years old. We have found that kids younger than that often can't make it through 8 - 45 min sessions just due to their age and attention span. Kids that age also typically require 1 on 1 assistance and we just don't have that capability as we run a station based program. We do this just to make sure the kids have a great experience. The last thing we want is a kid to have a negative experience their first time skating. This policy is just to ensure we are meeting the skaters' needs and they have a great experience!
* Please note that Learn to Skate is FREE skating lessons from Blackhawk Hockey Association, but there is a small fee required when you register with USA Hockey. The skater is required to register with USA Hockey to get on the ice for liability reasons. USA Hockey also has an affiliate fee of $10.00. These are not things that we can control. USA Hockey charges those and skaters HAVE to be USA Hockey registered for liability reasons. We do apologize for that.
Fees by Birth Year:
2018 and younger are $15.00
2017-2016 $50.00
2015-2012 $61.00
The Agriculture Department, on behalf of the Career and Technical Education teachers, is actively seeking large/overgrown houseplants to include in many areas at the high school.
