4 Weeks of Giving Community Service Event organized by FBLA and The Business Management Class
November 13th-17th: Winter Clothes Drive. Please bring in your clean, gently used winter coats, hats, snow pants, and mittens.
November 27-Dec. 1: Holiday Cheer for Nursing Home Residents. We are asking people to donate puzzles, large print books, puzzle books, and board games for local nursing homes.
Dec. 4-8th: Food Drive. Bring in any non-perishable food items.
Dec. 9th: Meet the Elves and Watch a Holiday movie. Come in and have lunch and pictures with our family of elves, then move to the auditorium for a family movie, Arthur Christmas. Admission is a $7.00 food shelf cash donation per person. Anyone is welcome. SCC High School Commons & Auditorium
Dec. 11th-15th: Blanket Drive. Please bring in your clean, gently used blankets to be donated to homeless shelters throughout St. Croix County.

Students in Introduction to Education went to UW Stout to attend Teach Day where they met with professors and current students in Tech Ed, Art Ed, Business Ed, and Early Childhood Ed. They created and presented lessons, toured campus, and took part in a student panel.
Congratulations to Claire Pommier for placing 2nd overall in the Nation on her Personal Finance exam at the FBLA National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. There were over 13,000 students attending the conference at the end of June.
SCC's Homecoming is right around the corner, and all students have the opportunity to purchase a homecoming shirt that they can wear on class color day. Homecoming shirt orders and payment are due by Thursday, September 14th. Shirts are just $15-cash or checks (payable to SCC School) are accepted. Order forms have been emailed and are available in the high school commons. Shirt designs are still in the works and will not be released until after the order deadline. Betty Johnson, representing Trinity Lutheran Church in Hammond, presented Superintendent Widiker with a donation of $3600 to go towards the school district's mental health program at last Wednesday's School Board Meeting. Thank you for your generous donation Trinity Lutheran!
Exciting work continues on the front of the high school building as well with the St. Croix Virtual Academy addition and improvements to parking and traffic flow.
And that's a wrap on our June session of Summer School! Our last day of summer school was June 29th. We hope all of our students are enjoying their summer! We will see those of you who are signed up for swimming lessons back starting on July 17th!
If you played volleyball for SCC for a significant portion of its history, chances are you were coached by Beth Monson. On June 7th, Teresa Viessman & Terrill Florcyk presented her with a quilt they had made highlighting her years as a coach and the impact she had on their lives.
Construction crews have been working hard on demolition on the high school parking lot since the start of summer break in preparation for the parking lot expansion and high school additions.
