This past weekend, students from SCC attended the State FBLA Conference at the KI Center in Green Bay. There were over 2,000 students competing at the conference in a variety of career related events ranging from Healthcare Administration to Website Design. To qualify for the State Conference, students had to receive 1st through 3rd place rankings at one of the 7 Regional Conferences held in February. SCC had nine students advance to the State Competition: Brooklyn Mishler-Healthcare Administration, Blake Olson-Economics, Dylan Lane-Political Science, Zac Holme-Website Design, Wyatt Turbeville-Computer Problem Solving, Anna VanRossum & Sam Malecek-Broadcast Journalism, and Tyler Olsen and Hank Berger-Digital Video Production. Also attending the Legacy Leadership Academy at the State Conference was Luke Holme.
Placing 7th at the State Conference was the team of Anna VanRossum and Sam Malecek and Wyatt Turbeville. Placing 3rd and qualifying for the National FBLA Conference which will be held in late June in San Antonio, Texas was the team of Tyler Olsen and Hank Berger.
