The School Board had the pleasure of welcoming members of the FFA Trap Shooting Club to last night's school board meeting as our Highlight on Youth. SCC's Trap Team has had a very successful history including three state championships in the past four years!!
Today, and every day, SCC thanks our IT Professional team for their important role in keeping the district running and allowing our staff to put our students first.

Terrence Talley has had to cancel his parent presentation scheduled for tonight due to the loss of his voice. The student presentations are still scheduled for the school buildings tomorrow. The parent presentation will not be rescheduled.

SCC Elementary Kindness Kids of the week!
Please join us in the HS Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. tonight to hear Terrence Talley discuss the real issues affecting youth today. NHS students will be on hand to supervise children while you attend the presentation (note location change). We look forward to seeing you tonight!
Students in Build Your Own Lit are working together in class analyzing their choice group novels. It is always so fun watching students dig into literature and discuss their thoughts. These kids have awesome ideas and insights!

Yesterday, September 8th, was World Physical Therapy Day! SCC would like to recognize the important role that our own Physical Therapist, Becky Lease, performs every day for our SCC students! Thank you, you are appreciated!!

Students in Mrs. Rozeboom’s Horticulture class got their first opportunity to use part of the new greenhouse on Friday when they performed a lab titled “Germination in a Glove”. There was ample space for the entire class in their new area!
